TESTS: Hygiene
EZU offers a wide scale of tests in the area of hygiene and microbiology. With the development of industry and technology, the manufacture of a number of substances, which may be considered as hazardous, are globally increased. This trend brings also an increase in their concentration in the living environment - in the atmosphere, in water, soil and eatables and this creates a serious hygienic and ecological problem.
The EZU ´s hygienic and microbiological laboratory carries out analyses water and other media, determines limit values of such substances, for example: heavy metals content and determines their presence in materials that come into contact with foodstuffs. It helps in surveying the objects and selecting suitable sanitation procedures, proposes preventive protective measures for places where people may be endangered by toxic, allergenetic, and carcinogenic effects of fungi, both in the working area of offices, warehouses, archives, galleries, depository facilities, or residential buildings. All the mentioned tests and measurements are carried out in accordance with CSN, ISO,and EN standards, or foreign standards on customer's request (DIN, GOST, VW, and the like).
Services offered
- Review of materials, intended for the contact with eatables, from the health hazard viewpoint and their suitability for use
- Preparation of details for proving the hygienic harmless of commonly used appliances (for example: electrotechnical devices - cooking pot, coffee makers, sandwich makers, fritting devices, and other appliances coming into contact with eatables), including required tests
- Consultation and advisory activities in the area of hygiene (according to the Guidelines of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic)
- Consultation and advisory activities in the area of microbiology
- Sanitation of depository facilities, archives, books, museum collections, (fungi removal) and preventive measures
- Determination of resistance of technical materials (for example: plastics, rubber, coating compounds, construction materials, floor coverings, wall-papers, and the like) against fungi
- Determination of efficiency and stability of substances intended for liquidation of microorganisms
- The possible use of a polarographic and voltmetric analyzer for the trace analysis of various materials and media, in particular in the area of ecological analyses, water system, geological samples, industrial chemistry, mechanical engineering, hygiene, fly ashes from power stations, dust, fallouts, trash disposal sites, waste waters, and determination of various organic substances, such as PCB, series of surface active substances, and the like.

- Analysis of oil, lubricant grease, and other means for temporary protection of metals
In addition, EZU offers its services in accordance with The Act No. 157/1998 Coll., on chemical substances and chemical preparations and on change of some other Acts, as subsequently amended.
The subject of this Act, inter alia, is the determination of duty of legal persons and physical persons in ascertaining the properties and classification of chemical substances and chemical preparations in their registration, filing, announcement, disposal, and their bringing on market.
Classification is an assessment whether substances or preparations contain one or more dangerous properties and their enlistment into individual groups of hazard rating.
Bringing on market is the process of accessing the substance to another legal person or physical person. Within the meaning of this Act, the import is considered as bringing on market.
Dealing with substances and preparations is any activity dealing with substances and preparations, in particular, their manufacturing, import, export, use, warehousing, packaging, marking, in-house transportation and disposal.
Legal or physical persons may deal with dangers substances and preparations classified in accordance with §2 par. 8 of the Act No. 157/1998 Coll. only if such activity is ensured for them by physical persons authorized to do such activities in accordance with this Act. Exceptions are described in §18 par. 2 of the Act. As an authorized person may also be a legal person entitled to carry out enterprise activities through the physical person.
Our employee - RNDr. Drahomíra Vančurová is an authorized person for dealing with dangers chemical substances and preparations in accordance with the Act No. 157/1998 as subsequently amended, for all categories of substances specified under §2 par. 8 on the Act:
