The IECEE-CB or CB system is the worldwide certification system for the area of electrotechnical products. This is an agreement on recognition of test results in accordance with IEN international standards for electrical safety of electrotechnical products. It is one of the oldest working systems of mutual recognition of test results in the area of electrical safety of products. The most significant certification authorities from more than 36 countries of the world belong to its members. This system takes into consideration also specific national variations for individual member countries. Tests according to these variations may be included the tests and ensure that the final certificate would be accepted without any problems by other members of the CB system.

The CB Certificate together with the test certificate issued by our institution are accepted in testing laboratories of all member countries of this system and considerably facilitate obtaining the certificates and marks issued by foreign testing laboratories, because the manufacturer undertakes all tests only once.

Procedure for obtaining the CB Certificate:

On the part of customer:

  1. Ordering the product certification within the framework of the CB system. Certification may be ordered in the form of our standardized order, by letter, by fax, or by e-mail. If the order is not provided directly by the manufacturer of the product, it is necessary to send an original of the manufacturer's consent with testing for CB certification and authorization on the representation by a subject ordering this service in EZU
  2. Sending the basic product-related technical information:
    • Technical description
    • Wiring diagrams
    • Technical drawings
    • Manufacturing type label
    • List of all electric components in the following division: kind, type, technical characteristics, standard used for testing, testing organization
    • Certificates or confirmation on tests of accredited persons for critical electrical components - switches, condensers, leads, transformers, and the like
    • Operating instructions
  3. Sending a product sample (samples)
  4. Sending the complete manufacturer's address
  5. Sending the list of countries to which the product is to be exported - in order to take into consideration particular national variations during testing - it is not necessary but recommended

On the part of EZU:

  1. Sending the EZU ´s contract for carrying out certification containing all terms and conditions (standards used for the realization of certification, date, price, and necessary groundwork)
  2. Carrying out the tests following the contract confirmation and fulfillment of all its terms and conditions by the customer
  3. Issuing the CB Certificate including Test Certificates after they are successfully realized. These documents are issued in English
